Daily Routine

The EYFS are delivered throughout the day through a variety of adult and child led activities.

Children have a daily routine for specific tasks and play activities designed to meet their interests and to stimulate their curiosity in order to expand their learning and further their development.

7.30 to 9.00 – Arrival and free play, breakfast is served between 07.30 and 08.30

9.00 to 9.15 – Register and circle time, we encourage the children to express themselves within the group and instigate discussions on various topics.

9.15 to 10.00 – Various activities some adult and some child led. Example of activities: painting, collage, water and sand play, construction, mark making, number activities, ICT, home corner, drama, dressing up, cooking and exploring within a group or individually.

10.00 – Snack time

10.15 to 11.00 – outdoor play with various toys located in our outdoor play area

11.00 to 11.45 – story reading, singing, music and movement, gym, group games and a variety of activities to meet each child interest and stage of development

11.55 - Lunch

12.25 to 13.15 – quiet time and free play and start of the afternoon session

13.15 to 13.30 – Register and circle time

13.30 to 14.30 – Various activities either indoors or outdoors, trips to library, play ground or nature walks

14.30 – Snack time

14.45 to 15.45 – Activities such as individual and group games, musical instruments, gym, other physical activities story reading and singing

15.45 – Tea

16.30 – Free play and departure
