Green Room - 2 - 3 years
The light and spacious environment of this room gives the children the opportunity to access lots of stimulating activities and experiences so that they can explore, develop various skills and learn through play. Group activities encourage social interactions, communication and co-operation. The focus throughout the day is to have fun; the large hard floor area allows the children to access messy play, sensory play and creative activities. There is also a cosy, quiet corner for looking at books, reading and relaxing. After a home cooked lunch, the children who would like to sleep are offered sleep mats in a quiet area where they can relax and recharge for a fun filled afternoon session.
Regular outdoor play takes place and is an essential part of the children’s routine; a large outdoor area is covered over with a canopy so the children can play outside in all weathers. We go outside at least twice each day and more during the summer months.
