Yellow Room Babies and Toddlers Room – Yellow room: 8 weeks to 20/24 months of age
The Yellow room has been designed so that the younger and non mobile babies can engage safely and the older more mobile toddlers have plenty of space to practise their walking and to experience a number of varied activities. The room is full of stimulating activities and resources that will keep the babies and toddlers busy throughout the day. We have areas for floor play, table top play, messy play and the unit also flows out on to our covered outdoor play area equipped with a variety of toys.
The unit has a quiet area where children, if they wish, may sleep away from the main play area. We also have two separate zones, one for nappy changing and the other for preparation of feeds.
All our nursery meals are prepared on site and therefore stages of the weaning process can be accommodated. Every effort is made to continue with the children’s routines that have been established at home when the children first join us.
Each member of staff working with the babies and toddlers hold an appropriate qualification and they are selected for their experience and calm and caring attitude.
